LaMichael James A Niner! After drafting wide receiver A.J. Jenkins in the first round, the San Francisco 49ers added more speed with University of Oregon running back LaMichael James in the second round. With a stellar career at Oregon, that included a loss in the national title game to Auburn in 2011, James left as a junior with an 6.6 yards per carry average (topping out this past year with 7.3 yds/carry) and scoring 57 touchdowns as a Duck. James joins a crowded backfield that includes Frank Gore, Kendall Hunter and newly added Brandon Jacobs.
