Danica Patrick : First Woman To Win Daytona 500 Pole

danica-rickyCongratulations to Danica Patrick, who reminds us that, for all of her personal life that has been tossed about online (thanks to her doing things like posting on Facebook, to some degree), she’s still a professional race car driver, and a darn good one, at that. Ms. Patrick, who recently came into stock car racing after the Indy circuit, became the first woman to win the Daytona 500 Pole. She posted a lap of 196.434 mph.

And how did the Rookie feel? Danica expressed “Pride. I’m proud of all the hard work that goes into making a pole car. I’m happy for them (Danica’s team of assistants). It was a fast Chevy…If you’re anywhere but the front row, it’s hard to see on race day. This just speaks volumes about Stewart-Haas Racing. I thought we were going to be 1-2-3 for a while.”

The only other racer to top 196 MPH in qualifying was Jeff Gordon, who said that he can be proud that “I can say I was the fastest guy today.”

Now, we can go back to talking about the Danica Patrick, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. relationship. Because to this blogger, the wonder was did she cheat on her husband with Stenhouse?

Well, hey, Danica started this stuff, ok?

Stay tuned.
