Airbnb Wants SF City Officials To Back Short-Term Rentals Legislation

Airbnb will be at San Francisco City Hall at 12:30PM, today, Monday, September 15th.

This afternoon, a small group of Airbnb hosts, local businesses and other supporters of home sharing will hold a quick press conference on the steps of City Hall ahead of the San Francisco Land Use hearing on short-term rentals. They will talk about why home sharing matters to them, and continue to urge local officials to move forward with legislation that allows San Franciscans to share the home in which they live.

The Airbnb press conference is ahead of this afternoon’s hearing, which is is the next step in the process for short-term rental legislation, following up on the Planning Commission Hearing and before it heads to full board of Supervisors. If passed, the legislation would make it easier for San Francisco residents to share the home in which they live.

Stay tuned.
