But in research for this blog post, a second lawsuit turned up, and it was filed on October 12, 2012, just less than a month before this lawsuit by AZA.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Huntsville, Ala-based singer-songwriter Allyson Nichole Burnett, is suing Carly Rae Jepsen and Owl City, along with Universal Music Group, Songs Music Publishing and Schoolboy Records, ACAP and SESAC – the same group AZA’s suing. Ms. Burnett says “Good Times” has many similarities to her 2010 song “AH, It’s a Love Song.” Matt Thiessen and Brian Lee, who wrote “Good Times,” were also mentioned in that suit.
That makes two separate plagiarism accusations in just less than one month.
