Washington Redskins Rookie QB Robert Griffin III posted a whopping 153.83 NFL QB Passer Rating after going 19 for 26 for 320 yards and 2 TDs and in his first game against the New Orleans Saints at The Mercedes Benz Superdome.
That marks the second straight year a first pick NFL QB has come out and performed at a high-level his first game out. The last time was in 2011,when then-rookie Cam Newton went 24 of 37 for 427,2 TD,and 1 INT –his rating was 110.4. The highest rating Newton reached in 2011 was 127;this is almost 20 points greater.
And NFL on Fox said that RG3’s stats were the most in yards for an NFL QB his first game out –that’s wrong. I think what they should have said was the 153.83 rating was the highest.
Whatever,he was great.
Stay tuned.
