The Atlanta Falcons had the Carolina Panthers right where they wanted them: at home with a chance to be NFC South Champions.
The Atlanta Falcons blew it.
The problem was that 21 of the Carolina Panthers 34 points came off turnovers and two were returned for touchdowns. Carolina had 5.5 yards per rush and 5.9 yards per offensive play.
On defense they pressured Matt Ryan The Falcons QB who was made to be a sitting duck. Cam Newton was 10 of 16 for 116 yards and one TD. Ryan was 29 of 47 for 260 yards and two interceptions.
