the_day_the_world_stood_stillYou read that correctly. According to Gawker, House Republicans (you know, the GOP), are meeting at a former slave plantation, and with a CNN Commentator as one of their participants, to talk about how to reach more blacks and Latinos.

As one person tweeted on Twitter, “this party is beyond stupid.”

They’re meeting at a place called The Kingsmill Resort, which was once a slave plantation. And the CNN Commentator joining them is Ana Navarro (in photo), who’s listed as “CNN Commentator” in the list for the meeting called “Coalitions – Discussions On Successful Communications With Minorities And Women.”

At least give the GOP credit for trying to address an obvious problem, even if the execution is massively clumsy.

Wonder how CNN feels about having its name put out there like that?

Well, it’s a sure bet Ana’s going to enjoy the wine.
