NFL Draft
Zennie62Media is back to cover the 2014 NFL Draft. It’s the ninth straight year Zennie62Media (which started as the “SBS NFL Business Blog” in 2005) has covered the National Football League Player Selection Meeting annually held in New York City.

Zennie62Media started covering the NFL Draft in 2005, and wrote the first Internet-based account of what it was like to attend the event. Then, it was held at the Jacob K Javitz Convention Center, after years at Madison Square Garden. But a political issue with the Dolan Family (which owns MSG) over the location of a new stadium for the New York Jets on Manhattan’s West Side saw the NFL move the event to Javitz for one year: 2005.

That was Zennie62Media’s firs NFL Draft, and where this blogger interviewed a new reporter working for MTV-U and from Cal Berkeley, Brianna Keilar, who said one of her desires was to be an anchor for an organization like CNN. Now, Ms. Keilar is just that.

Since then, I’ve made over 100 YouTube video interviews and video-blogs right from the NFL Draft, and have featured such future NFL Stars as Matt Stafford, Michael Crabtree, Matt Ryan, Adrianne Peterson, Jamarcus Russell, Andrew Luck, Michael Oher, Calvin Johnson, RGIII, Andrew Luck, and celebs like Jillian Michaels.

Zennie62Media’s also partnered with great NFL Draft Draftniks like the legendary Bill Chachkes, KXTS Radio Star and Host of “Buehler’s Day Off” Julie Buehler, and this year, NFL Draft Bible and it’s founder Rick Seritella.

Here’s a sample video: Robert Griffin III, and Andrew Luck

The First Video And Livestream

Zennie62Media is the first organization to fully cover the NFL Draft via YouTube vlogs in 2006, and was the first to cover it with livestream technology, bring the then-new USTREAM to the NFL Draft in 2007.

Here’s Oakland Raiders and Stanford Football Legend Michael Dotterer in 2006:

Zennie62Media’s Innovative NFL Draft Sponsorship Approach

Zennie62Media also created an innovative sponsorship approach that’s still employed today and has helped Tout.com, Small Luxury Hotels Of The World, and other brands to connect their offerings with the NFL Draft in a unique way. It consists of NFL Draft-related blog posts where the sponsor’s mentioned in the first paragraph, with NFL Draft-related videos where the sponsor is credited before the video starts, Twitter-tweets and blog posts promoting the sponsor, and a new addition this year, a 728 by 90 banner made for the sponsor and ran during the coverage of the NFL Draft and two weeks after its over.

But the sponsor mention in the videos and blog posts stay up and visible forever. The sponsor gains valuable exposure with interest in the NFL Draft star, as that person’s visibility rises over time.

As of this writing, Zennie62Media is seeking sponsors for its coverage of the 2014 NFL Draft. Interested persons can email [email protected] or call 510-517-7565.

Stay tuned.
