Fans will watch as designers compete with their original geek couture designs to win the ultimate prize – the opportunity to design a collection with Her Universe for Hot Topic. Presented by Her Universe and Hot Topic, the event will be held on Thursday, July 20 at 6 p.m. PT in the Harbor Ballroom of the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel. Hosted by actress, entrepreneur, and best-selling author Ashley Eckstein (voice of Star Wars’ Ahsoka Tano), the theme for this year’s show is “Coming Home,” a celebration of the return to an in-person San Diego Comic-Con event. Drag icon Nina West joins Eckstein as a special co-host for the evening. “After three years away, I am overjoyed for our event to return in person,” said Eckstein. “We chose this year’s theme because San Diego Comic Con is not only the home of our fashion show, it is truly a home for me and the fans. We have an amazing group of designers this year and I can’t wait to share the stage with my dear friend Nina West. This will be a celebration you won’t want to miss.” “I am beyond thrilled to join my friend Ashley on stage for the Her Universe Fashion Show. By the end of the night, two winners will be chosen: one by the audience and one by an expert panel of judges.
