Stanford drops football, adds FIFA as varsity sport
The Stanford Daily
Stanford Athletics announced Tuesday that it will replace football with FIFA as a varsity sport, effective the 2015-16 season. “We felt that our football program’s underachievement in 2014 was absolutely unacceptable,” said Athletic Director Bernard Muir.
