Oakland Councilmember Lynette Gibson McElhaney Plots Run For Mayor

Though she has not yet officially filed, Oakland District Three (Downtown West Oakland, Adams Point) Councilmember Lynette Gibson McElhaney is plotting a run for Mayor of Oakland.

Right now only the incumbent Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf is running for reelection.

Councilmember McElhaney is said to be talking up the idea with her friends and supporters, though it’s early.
