Lindsay Barenz Oakland Roots President Says Coliseum Malibu Site Problems Point To 2025 Delay Oakland Roots President Lindsay Barenz came to the open forum portion of the November 20th, 2017 meeting of the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Joint Powers Authority with a message of warning. Ms. Barenz thanked the Coliseum JPA and City of Oakland and County of Alameda for their help in securing the Malibu Golf and Games Site for the Oakland Roots’ 2025 Season, but said that a number of issues had come up that point to a delay in the use of the new field. While she he did not elaborate on the problem, this vlogger recalls warning her and Oakland Roots Chief Real Estate Officer Lydia Tam of the fact that the Malibu Site is part of a flood zone and sea-level rise area and has already experienced rains and flood over the past three years.
