In Oakland, California Black Culture Is Under Attack
I have to say, as I do in this vlog, that in my home of Oakland, black culture is under attack. Everything from the black church and the music that is such a key part of it, to forms of expression that are classically black: loud talking, laughing and testifying. The new whites and Asians who have come to our city have launched an attack on anyone black who is just living their lives. It has to stop. Now.
It must be against the law to use the law for petty reasons: a city ordinance that causes the police to write a ticket against anyone who uses the law against someone for purely cultural reasons. This will test our representatives and get Oakland to stop this hostile behavior. Now!
