UPDATE: The poster is officially fan made. It’s not the right creature design for Godzilla, and all of the credits are wrong. David Goyer nor Frank Darabont will get official credit.
This poster Godzilla 2014 poster for Godzilla and sent to this blogger was said to have been “fan made,” but was it?
I’m going out on a limb and saying this poster was leaked and it’s produced by Warner Bros. I don’t have a bit of proof to back my claim, with the exception of the poster itself.
This Godzilla 2014 Poster gets not just the projected design of Godzilla correct (remember, the Godzilla 2014 trailer that was leaked is from an older design of the creature that dates back to 2012 and before it was finalized), but its based on what was presented at the Godzilla Encounter exhibit at San Diego Comic Con.
Then, the height of Godzilla with respect to the City he’s going to lay waste to, San Francisco , is just about right, and the buildings in the middle look like a couple of skyscrapers along Montgomery Street in San Francisco.
Finally, the quality of the illustration and the type font design and placement, as well as the detail of the credits, are far too deep, and the logos of the studios too accurate, for this to have been fan made.
This is the real thing, folks.
