Facebook Lets You Use Video To Say Happy Birthday – Video

In the process of wishing my friend Katie Fountain of Tout a happy birthday via Facebook, I noticed that there is now a video icon prompt you can use to, well, make video comments.

This is a huge move for Facebook. It makes the social network site the Seesmic of the second decade of the 21st Century. Seesmic was a video conversation site that was started by Loic Lemur in 2007 before it pivoted away from video in, if memory serves, 2011.

It will be interesting to see if this catches on. Moreover will my video count toward any partner view earnings via ads in the future?

Stay tuned.
