Bad Facemask Call Gets Packers Hail Mary Win Over Lions #GBvsDET – Video

The Green Bay Packers beat the Detroit Lions on a Hail Mary pass that was set up by a bad facemask call. Green Bay fought back from a 20 to 0 deficit to make a game of it and be at 21 to 24 and in need of a field goal to win.

But they were on their 41 yard line and throwing long passes without a completion or a penalty call. But even with that the Packers last play, or what should have been the last play, was a multi lateral affair that led to Packers QB Aaron Rogers with the ball. He was tackled by his shoulder but the refs called it as a facemask. The replay showed no facemask. Still the call was not overturned.

So the last play was a Hail Mary thrown by Rogers to Richard Rogers, also of Cal Berkeley. And for the walk off touchdown.

Not a way to end a game.
