Chad Johnson Out Of Jail, Thanks Judge Kathleen McHugh

chadjohnson-outofjail Chad Johnson has been released from jail as of Monday, and was the only one to thank Broward County, Florida Judge Kathleen McHugh for sending him to jail.

Last week, Monday, Judge Kathleen McHugh said that Chad Johnson, the former NFL Wide Receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals and The New England Patriots, should thank his lawyer for the plea deal he got for him, originally enabling Mr. Johnson to avoid jail time.

Chad reacted like any athlete would do: he thanked his attorney (Adam Swickle, shown here with Johnson’s agent Drew Rosenhaus) with the typical butt slap. But, and I think, because Judge McHugh is blind, and therefore may rely more on her hearing, the slap and the subsequent laughter in the courtroom, caused her to overreact, and she sentenced him to 30 days in the slammer.

But a number of cooler heads prevailed, most notably Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, who was outraged over Kathleen McHugh’s actions and made her views known to the media.

Mr. Johnson said he had a lot of time to think while he was there for what amounted to seven days, and said that he was going to make his next move, his best move.

Stay tuned.
