Kate Middleton Nude Photo Scandal Hot Again…
Nothing like the Kate Middleton Nude Photo Scandal to send your Clicky.com web traffic meter in the uptick position it’s in now. From reports, most notably the Belfast Telegraph UK, Danish Mag Se Og Hor, has spent the week presenting what they claim to be “new” nude photos of the Duchess of Cambridge, and from the same now famous balcony in France where the future Queen elected to cavort in assumed privacy, even though they were standing outside in a giant home in the French countryside.
And what about getting sued? Well, the mags’ editor says ‘bring it on.’ Check this:
Se Og Hor Editor Kim Henningsen said: “It’s a set of unique photos from an A-class celebrity. We are a leading gossip magazine in Denmark, and it is my job to publish them. If the British royal family want to sue us, then it will happen then and we’ll deal with it.”
There are two questions here. First, what does Danish law say about the publishing of photos that were supposedly gotten via invading the privacy of the subject. Second, it appears to this blogger that the photos were taken from a public-access street. If that turns out to be the case, then no privacy was breached; the Duchess technically let it all hang out in public.
The idea that you can achieve privacy strictly by distance is totally silly. Privacy is achieved by going behind closed doors and shielded windows.
Stay tuned.
