Dan Wheldon
Indy car driver Dan Wheldon is the top buzz generator for his untimely passing after a 15-car crash. The 33-year old part time racing car driver was the first English racer to win the Indianapolis 500 in 2005, and then won again this year.
Giuliana Rancic
This news about Giuliana Rancic is just sad. During her and husband Bill Rancic’s multiple attempts to have a child, it was discovered that she had early stage breast cancer. As one who’s helped his mother after her 2005 diagnosis of the same type of cancer, my heart and prayers go out to her. Thankfully, it was caught in the early stage, and here’s hope that she uses not just a combination of Femara and radiation, but pays close attention to her diet, and to making it as “anti-cancer” as she can. Translation: fruit, fruit, and more fruit, fish, and Vinegar water – tastes awful but the results are worth it.
Occupy Wall Street / Occupy Atlanta
The Occupy Wall Street movement has spread around the World, and has captured the attention of the World media. But the basic problem is still the overall lack of a complete action plan. This, as the movement adds people and brings in those who have their own agendas.
Take the MoveOn.org folks. They’re working to align themselves with Occupy Wall Street, only to find themselves in arguments with some of the “Occupy” folks who say they don’t want politics in the equation.
As one who understands and is supportive of the overall effort, it must be said that it’s totally naive to think that a person can protest and yet claim they’re not political. But that’s the message some loud voices connected with the Occupy movement are sending out.
How all of this will play out in the case of Occupy Atlanta will be seen soon. Because they are suppose to be out of their “home” at Woodruff Park by 5 PM EST. It’s 4:07 PM EST as of this writing and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed has not announced that he will extend the already extended deadline.
