American Idol took it’s place in the National Association Of Broadcasting Hall Of Fame today, alongside such legends as Tim Russert and Meet The Press, The Lucille Ball Show, Bob Newhart, Bob Barker, and many others. (Zennie62Media coverage sponsored by StardustBlue Media.)
Nancy O’Dell of Entertainment Tonight was the host and also showed why she’s the modern Mary Hart, also from ET: legs, tall, and lovely in a red dress. Randy must be working on a new startup, and signing non-disclosure agreements, because he said “NDA” instead of “NAB” at one point in the show, and his friends never let him forget it.
American Idol judge Randy Jackson was on hand, along with show producers Nigel Lythgoe and Trish Kinane, executive producer and president of entertainment programming for FremantleMedia North America, the company which owns the show.
But most important, American Idol Season Five Star Chris Daughtry gave the Las Vegas Convention Center NAB VIP audience a concert to remember.
Here are Tout videos from the lunch; Youtube videos will be uploaded later:
Stay tuned for more from the NAB Show.
