Yesterday I blogged about Diana Nyad beginning her epic 103 mile swim from Cuba to the Key West, but on CNN this morning it has been reported that due to very bad winds the 61-year-old has been forced to call it quits, for the second time.
On Nyad’s Twitter account she reported that she was wrapped in blankets on the CNN support boat that accompanying her. She chose to end the swim on her own, but she was really forced by the terrible weather; she would have been a complete daredevil if she had continued.
Nyad swam for 29 hours.
