United Airlines flight makes emergency landing at Manchester Airport due to ‘mechanical problems’

A transatlantic jet with 160 passengers and crew on board had to make an emergency landing at Manchester Airport after ‘mechanical issues’. Several fire crews were on standby as the United Airlines flight touched down shortly after 12.30pm on Saturday.
