Oakland Tribune’s Bryan Parker Article Is Racist
Oakland Tribune’s Bryan Parker Article is racist.
The article written by Matthew Artz says that Bryan Parker has the audacity to run for Mayor Of Oakland against Jean Quan because he was her appointee to the Port Board Of Commissioners. But Matt also wrote that Dan Siegel was a former friend of Quan’s running for Mayor but did not say he had the “audacity” to do that.
Matt also mentions that Parker is the only high profile black candidate but fails to explain why that matters or that most of the candidates running for Mayor are black.
The Tribune focuses on Parker’s past domestic issues but fails to note that Joe Tuman accidentally hit a dog last year. I wrote that it was an accident and should have no bearing on his campaign. I stand by that.
But the Tribune this year has not acted like the Tribune of the past. The Tribune of Bob Maynard. This Tribune is just plain awful.
The Parker article was racist. Period.
And yes I am backing Parker for Mayor.
Stay tuned.
