Ozzie Newsome, the 57-year-old Cleveland Browns Hall Of Fame Tight End, and as Baltimore Ravens General Manager, the man who was the architect of the team’s two Super Bowl wins, was taken to a local Chicago hospital as what the Ravens called a precautionary action.

Here’s the Baltimore Ravens statement:

“Ozzie Newsome did not feel well after today’s game and a team doctor recommended that Ozzie not fly tonight.”

On Twitter, Chicago Tribune Reporter Brad Biggs tweeted this photo of hallways at Soldiers Field being cleared to make room to put Ozzie Newsome in an ambulance.

Nestor Aparicio of WNST.net was next to Newsome in the press box when he saw that Ozzie wasn’t feeling well. This is what he tweeted:

I hope Ozzie Newsome gets well soon. He’s a legend and an NFL Treasure.

Stay tuned.
