Coolsculpting: When Diet And Exercise Aren’t Working

CoolSculpting? What is it?

I go to the gym pretty much every day, and I’ve wondered why some don’t actually lose weight for all of the work that they do. From research, it may be that diet and exercise alone just will not work in their individual cases. That was how I learned about something called “CoolSculpting,” also known by its real name Cryolipolysis.
Cryolipolysis, or CoolSculpting, is described by Boca Raton Dermatologist Dr. David Herschthal, as follows (from his website):

Coolsculpting is a revolutionary, non-invasive procedure that is FDA-cleared to reduce fat bulges, particularly those that are stubborn to diet and exercise. Developed at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, the procedure cools your body’s fat cells to a specific temperature which induces a natural cell death (a process known as apoptosis). Because the process is controlled, there is no damage to surrounding tissue. Your body then naturally and permanently eliminates the fat cells over a period of 3 months. Coolsculpting is performed in the comfort of our office, and requires one hour or more depending on the number of sites we are treating. You can return to your normal activities immediately after the procedure.

Coolsculpting can be used when exercise and diet just won’t cut it. Here is a great coolsculpting video provided by Dermatologist Dr Herschthal.

The process of CoolSculpting was created by Physicians Dieter Manstein, MD, PhD and R. Rox Anderson, MD at The Wellman Center at Massachusetts General Hospital. The doctors reportedly experimented on it in a number of ways. In 2009, Sydney Coleman and another team of physicians reportedly conducted the first human experiment.

Finally, Zeltiq Aesthetics of Pleasanton, California created the Cryolipolysis device, and the Food and Drug Administration approved it for use in September of 2010.

To find out more about Coolsculpting you should visit specialists like Dr. David Herschthal, who has offices in Boca Raton and Ft. Lauderdale, or those in your area of the World.

Stay tuned.
