Hadiya Pendleton In Chicago, 8 Year In Oakland Old Killed By Guns

Hadiya Pendleton was just 15-year-old, and shot in the back by someone who opened fire in a park near her high school on January 29th. That was this week, after Hadiya attended and performed in the 57th Presidential Inauguration in Washington DC. She went from the highest high to the lowest low, and for no good reason.

The day before, an 8-year-old, who’s identity has not been released, was killed in a drive by shooting in Oakland.

And the week before that, two Oakland Police Officers were shot while in the line of duty; fortunately they’re still alive.

Guns are makings the streets of Oakland and Chicago, and other cities, all too dangerous. We must make all efforts to remove the excess number of guns from our society and improve the quality of life in urban areas.

Too often the story comes down to kids having guns and killing other children and adults with them.

This is sad.
