Sounds like a great end to a fabulous career, doesn’t it? Well it is, and because of that there are some in the Super Bowl Media group who just can’t let him have any more fun.
Have doubts? Look at the Twitter tweets that have come in the face of a Sports Illustrated story by David Epstein and George Dohrmann on the organization called S.W.A.T.S. and Lewis use of something called deer antler pills and deer-antler spray. The S.I story does not say Lewis was tested positive for using a banned substance, and the substance called IGT-D was in such small quantities that it could not be detected.
With that, and the fact that Lewis did not test positive for drugs, why is this story being advanced now? Now. When it’s clear that Lewis is just days from what could be the greatest single day of his NFL career? Whatever the case, whatever the reason, one fact remains: that Ray Lewis never tested positive for a banned substance.
The Murder Issue Is Passed And In The Past
And the murder issue that the media keeps bring up is in the past. Yet, again, now, a number of outlets just can’t leave it alone. The bottom line is Lewis paid his debt to society over a decade ago and should be allowed to live his life.
