James Holmes Convicted Of 142 Counts Of Murder In Colorado Theater Massacre

James Holmes, the 24-year-old former neuroscience student at the University Of Colorado who wants you to think he’s insane, but he’s not, was convicted of 130 counts of murder today. Since camera’s were barred from the courtroom, here’s what Holmes looked like in court last week:

In all, Holmes was convicted of 12 counts of “murder with extreme indifference,” according to sources, and 12 more as first-degree murder, and another 116 counts of attempted murder, which covers the people he shot at but either wounded or did not hit, but were nearby in the theater. The other charges are related to possession of explosive devices – the IED’s found in his apartment. Basically, the Colorado law enforcement people threw more than the book, they threw the total library at him. Holmes sentencing choices aren’t much: either life in prison or the death penalty.
