Oakland News: Round Table Pizza On Grand Av Owner Likes Trashy Digs!

Facebook

It looks like the owner of the Round Table Pizza at 398 Grand Avenue and Staten Avenue in Oakland, CA, likes a trashy neighborhood!

San Diego, CA – I had to take a minute away from Comic Con stuff to post this news after reading a message from the Adams Point Community Group that was just unbelievable. Take a look:

I just had a very bad encounter with the owner of Round Table. I was walking home from the APAC meeting and saw there was fast food bag in the drain on the corner of Staten/Grand Ave, so I picked it up out of the drain (before it went into Lake Merritt) and placed it in the trash bin on the sidewalk.

The owner saw me do it and gave me a lecture about how I can’t use his trash cans!

I told him his trash flows up and down the street. The least he can do is let me throw it in his cans. He told me he does not care and won’t do any thing about it and then his wife lectured me too!

I have reported his actions once again to Debi Bucciarelli, the Regional Franchise Business Manager at Round Table. I have been exchanging emails with Round Table since at least fall 2011.

In an age of social media, or what I call “personal media,” it’s amazing the number of people who just don’t get that their negative actions will be reported. The Round Table Pizza joint on Grand and Staten serves to mark a landmark for the neighborhood, so it should represent a clean establishment and a good face for Adams Point.

In other words, clean up the trash!

Stay tuned.
