jerrybrown-in-oaklandIn this Oakland News, OK, YOU HAVE 15 MINUTES TO GET OUT AND VOTE. If you’re confused who to pick, here’s a list from me to help you:

California Governor: Jerry Brown – To keep the state’s fiscal house in order.
Lieutenant Governor: Gavin Newsom – Solid focus on gov use of tech, good government.
Secretary of State: Alex Padilla – A Democrat who’s our only choice not facing jail.
Controller: John A. Pérez – The best choice.
Treasurer: John Chiang – Great California Controller – deserves the seat.
Attorney General: Kamela Harris – Who else?
Insurance Commissioner: Dave Jones – Insurance companies hate him, and that’s good.
State Superintendent of Public Instruction: Tom Torlakson – The teacher’s friend.
California United States Representative: Congresswoman Barbara Lee for D-13 – The legend.
California United States Representative: Ellen Corbett – solid Hayward rep.
Alameda County District Attorney: Nancy O’Malley – tough, but logical top lawyer.
Alameda County Auditor: Steve Manning – You have no choice.
Alameda County Treaturer, Tax Collector: Don White – The best choice, but running alone.

Those are the races I have followed.

In other news, that I’ll follow-up on when you get back from voting, there are at least two Oakland election candidates who carry guns. It came as a bit of a shock to me, but in one candidate’s case, I really understand the reason for it.

Stay tuned.
