Aria’s Playing For Good Annual Poker Las Vegas Tournament Draws Hank Azaria, Kevin Pollak

Hank Azaria hit the jackpot: the fourth annual Playing for Good sponsored by the ARIA Resort & Casino Las Vegas, and supported by Los Angeles Magazine.

And Kevin Pollak’s tweeting a good time:

The party, underway as this blog post is written, is for a good cause: two Los Angeles-based non-profits: the Geffen Playhouse (specifically the theater’s award-winning education and outreach programs) and Mr. Azaria’s “Determined to Succeed,” organization – a mentoring program for high-performing low socio-economic students in LA.

Azaria hit the cha-ching with a star-studded list of attendees that includes Kevin Pollak, celebrity trainer Lanre Idewu, poker champ Annie Duke. Playing for Good starts with 200 players, and eventually boils down to a single champion by the end of the day.

The winner of todays Playing for Good meetup will receive a grand prize that includes a Las Vegas weekend featuring a seat at the 2012 World Series of Poker and the royal treatment from ARIA including a VIP Sky Suite, dinners at award-winning chef restaurants and tickets to ARIA’s Cirque du Soleil production.

Nice.

Last year’s Playing for Good players included Ben Affleck, Paul Rudd, Jon Hamm, Don Cheadle and Jason Alexander. But beyond celebs, there’s a lot of attractions like an outdoor spa, featuring the ARIA Renew Lounge, showcasing make-up applications and mini-facials provided by Fresh, dry manicures provided by SpaRitual and massages by Spa on Location. Or you can hang at the Belvedere Refresh Lounge, which has cocktails by Belvedere Vodka and Grand Marnier, and eats by sponsors SugarFish and Pie N’ Burger. Meanwhile, Tanaz Assil Jewelry will sell her lovely jewelry, with revenue shared with the Geffen Playhouse and Determined to Succeed.

All of this is enjoyed by the players for a cool $1,250 per person.

And if you’re one of the players who makes it down to the final two tables, as Kevin Pollak did, you will enjoy a deluxe room at ARIA.

Wow!
