2018 NFL Mock Draft Two: Cleveland Browns Take Lamar Jackson With 1st Pick

In this second version of my NFL Mock Draft, we have the Cleveland Browns taking Louisville QB Lamar Jackson as the first pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Other boards had the Browns taking USC QB Sam Darnold first, but the worm that is the idea Lamar Jackson can be a game-winning quarterback at what’s called “the next level” is turning, and now many, like former NFL QB Chris Simms, see Jackson as the best signal-caller of the group.

The Browns selection of Jackson as number one shakes up the 2018 NFL Draft from picks 1 through 4, and conceivably through the first ten selections. With Jackson gone to the Browns, rather than Saquon Barkley, the Penn State star now become the newest employee-of-note of the New York Giants at number two. The Indianapolis Colts remain firm with the idea of taking Bradley Chubb the North Carolina State defensive end. The Browns, wanting to beef up their offensive line with someone athletic enough to be effective in a Lamar-Jackson-ran offense, use their second pick to get Notre Dame Offensive Guard Quenton Nelson.

With that, here’s the rest of the selections:
