There was a lot of controversy when it was announced last week that Mitt Romney had won the Maine caucus. Ron Paul put a lot of time and effort into Maine and has a lot of supporters in Maine – it was assumed that Ron Paul would have won.
There was a county that had to cancel their caucus due to snow storms, Washington County, and people believed that in Washington County Ron Paul would have won and secured a win against Romney.
The thing is that it really doesn’t matter until the delegates go to Augusta in May and vote for the candidates – and there are probably an abundance of Maine delegates that support Ron Paul, I know three people who became Maine delegates and will be representing Ron Paul in may.
So although the results say that Romney is still the winner in Maine – we’ll see what happens when May rolls around.
