Karrie Delaney Running For Delegate In Virginia, So Why Does Mac Miller Tell Me?

Mac Miller
I got an email out of the blue about Karrie Delaney, who’s running to be a delegate in Virginia. Ah, ok, but I don’t live in Virginia, so I wondered why I got the email? Whatever the case, she needs publicity, it seems.

Karrie Delaney says she’s “served as Governor McAuliffe’s appointee to the Commission on Youth, Chair of the Fairfax County Library Board, Chair of the Fairfax County Citizen Corp Council, and now she’s the Democratic Nominee for Virginia’s 67th District, the #1 targeted red-to-blue race in Virginia.”

So here’s what I was sent:

Hi,

My name is MacKenzie Miller; I just got on the ground here in Chantilly and I am excited to work to elect Karrie this fall!

I started my career organizing for Hillary Clinton’s 2008 Presidential campaign. Since then, I’ve worked in New York, D.C., and Richmond to further progressive causes. Most recently, I worked with Planned Parenthood VA to help run their grassroots campaign and broaden access to affordable healthcare for women across the Commonwealth.

I’m excited to join Team Delaney and elect Karrie because she’s smart, authentic, and an inspiring leader! Most importantly, we need strong advocates representing our values, and Karrie has the experience and passion to fight and provide real results for the families in our Commonwealth.

But this is not going to be an easy fight. It looks like this is going to be an extremely competitive race and I’ve heard that Jim LeMunyon, our opponent, has already gotten over $40,000 from Richmond Republican Leadership PACs this year!

Will you help us fight LeMunyon’s extreme Republican backers with $10, $25, of $50 TODAY?

If 20 of us pitch in $25, that’s enough to give our canvassers the supplies they need for a week! That’s HUNDREDS of one-on-one conversations with voters to spread Karrie’s positive message!

Can I count on you to be one of those 20 people?

Let’s fight back & win this election together.

Best,

MacKenzie Miller

So, I guess they think I have some money to give. Well, not a lot – but I have a 96-blog network. It would be nice if I got more political press releases – anyone need a social media specialist for their campaign? Hire me before you think the job should go to, as someone put it, “some young girl.”

Stay tuned.
