The obvious reason for the Seahawks’ trip is so President Obama is able “to honor the team and their Super Bowl XLVIII victory. This visit will continue the tradition begun by President Obama of honoring sports teams for their efforts to give back to their communities.”
This will mark the second time in three weeks Seattle Seahawks Cornerback Richard Sherman will see President Obama. The first time was as a guest at the White House Correspondents Dinner, where the All-Pro was mentioned in the President’s monologue.
