Roger Goodell, NFL Commissioner, seemed taken aback when asked why Michael Sam, who’s gay, wasn’t invited to the NFL Draft.
During an interview session at the NFL Play 60 event Wednesday, Commissioner Goodell said that the decision as to who to invite wasn’t up to him, but to NFL.com contributor and Dallas Cowboys legend Gil Brandt. “We have the high-ranking players here.”
And that’s the point: for all of the hoopla surrounding Michael Sam’s electing to say he’s gay before the NFL Draft and the NFL Combine, which he was invite to, the bottom line is he’s not one of the top 30 players coming out of college this season. http://ift.tt/1kW5UL2
