You can tell Texas Governor Rick Perry was in over his head at last night’s Republican Debate, but man! This blogger has never seen that large a mistake made by a Presidential Candidate.
It’s hard to tell what was worse: Perry fumbling and stumbling for words, Ron Paul trying to help him (which was nice) or NBC’s John Harwood sensing he’s got Governor Perry on the ropes, and is going in for the kill. (In other words, Harwood deep down inside knows that he’s got a newsworthy gaffe in his hands, and he’s going to milk it for all its worth.
So that’s what he did.
Ouch.
It’s hard to figure out which one of these GOP candidates will actually emerge to challenge President Obama: Michelle Backmann, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney.
Better off picking Barack Obama.
