I happened to meet this man as he was walking along in the neighborhood and just as I was going into my house. His name is Glen and he works for Uber as a mechanical systems designer on the Oakland Headquarters.

Glen said that the new Uber Oakland building was going to transform the neighborhood. And they are working on what will be a new BART Plaza. Glen also said they are putting in a spiral escalator in what he says will be a building that puts its mark on Oakland.
