After just 72 days, or just over two months, social media maven and celebrity Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris Humphries.
According to TMZ.com, the reason the pair split was cited as “irreconcilable differences.” Kim wanted to continue living in Los Angeles, near her family and career; Kris wanted to move to his home town in Minnesota.
But from this blogger’s perspective, that wasn’t the reason for the split. The key is in a Twitter tweet Kris issued on October 22nd. This one:

This is the first time I have tweeted while in the air. Kim is knocked out next to me and I’m so bored I need to be entertained!
That is one of those Twitter tweets you write, but don’t press the send button to release. It looks just like it reads: that Kris Humphries is bored, even in the company of her hotness Kim Kardashian. He obviously either didn’t think about hot the tweet would be considered, or maybe he just didn’t care to start with?
Whatever the case, Kim and Kris were not happy together, and now Kim’s available again. For those of you keeping score, Kris marks the eighth major public relationship she’s had since 2000.
The first man to call Kim her wife or girlfriend was Damon Thomas, a record producer she married in 2000 and when she was but 20 years old. That was followed by rapper Ray J, with whom she made a sex tape that’s still out as this is written (because of a $5 million settlement).
Then, after Ray J, came Nick Lachey after his divorce from Jessica Simpson. Nick then was followed by another Nick, Cannon. Cannon told the blog Global Grind that “Either way she caked up what, $17 million off of her wedding? I know a whole bunch of people who will get married and divorce in two months if you could step out with a $17 million check!”
After Mr. Cannon, Kim fell for NFL Running Back Reggie Bush, who was in transition from USC to being the New Orleans Saints 2007 NFL First Round Draft Pick. They were on, then off, then on again during his Saints run, but then really publicly on when Bush and the Saints were in the 2009 Super Bowl against the Indianapolis Colts.
During that time, Kim kinda pressured Reggie to tie the knot with her right after the Saints Super Bowl win, he didn’t, and so was out of the picture after a few months.
Bush gave way to another athlete, soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo. She told US Weekly the pair were just “having fun.”
Done having fun with Cristiano Ronaldo, Kim elected to catch passes from Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver Miles Austin. Not much heat there because of their travel schedules, and really it seemed like dating Miles (another NFL player) was more of a slap to Reggie Bush than anything.
After Austin, Kim went out on a number of dates with guy friends, but started to take up with Humphries, then of the NBA’s New Jersey Nets. Then, all of a sudden it seemed, Kardashian, 31, and Humphries, 26, married on August 20. The wedding cost between $17 million and $20 million and was the focus of a television special on E! Entertainment Network.
But, wedding bling gave way to the reality that the two just didn’t seem to be into each other. And while Kim never tweeted about their relationship, that tweet from Kris that he was bored was telling.

Well Kim’s available, she’s working hard, and this blogger would love to take her to dinner at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills. Seriously.
