For some reason, the Emmy Awards website producers didn’t (I started to use the word “failed”) to post the 2011 Emmy Award winners list as one long go, that a blogger could copy and paste part of, and then link to. Instead, the Emmy Awards’ site has pages for each category as well as photos and information about each nominee. Finally, a twitter feed of relevant tweets is below that information.
On the whole, it’s well executed, but there’s no simple list that’s visible; one had to dig around for it.
So, this blogger took matters into his own hands and made it so you can get the list, here.
But before that, a brief recap of the major television show winners.
Boardwalk Empire (8), Downton Abbey (of Masterpiece Theater) (6), Mildred Pierce (5), Modern Family (5), Deadliest Catch (4), Gettysburg (4), Saturday Night Live (4), The Kennedys (4), and Freedom Riders (3), and So You Think You Can Dance led all awards shows. And there were notable names included, like American Idol, which earned two, as did Friday Night Lights, and Futurama.
If you’re scoring by company, HBO led all with 19 awards, followed by PBS and CBS, with 14 and 11 respectively.
Here’s the link to the list: 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards Winners.
Stay tuned.
