Green Hornet’s Black Beauty Versus Medusa From Bellflower

Facebook

The Medusa from the movie Bellflower is worth as much, or more in value, than the Black Beauty from The Green Hornet. That means it’s worth about $2 million.

That comes from no one other than this blogger, who as of this writing is probably the only one to have talked to the makers of both movie cars from Sony’s The Green Hornet and Ossiloscope Pictures cult film Bellflower.

I saw the Black Beauty at Comic Con 2010, and on the last day, Sunday, got lucky. As I was walking from the San Diego Convention Center and toward the Hard Rock Hotel in the Gaslamp District, I heard a VAROOM from behind me and this was the result:

There are five or six Black Beauties and while the cost is said to be between $2 million and $3 million, none of them have any of the parts on them that really work.

By contrast, the Bellflower Medusa, built by the maker of the film Evan Glodell, does everything from drive to produce a smoke screen, to blow flames in the air (see the video), and more!

Plus, I’m sure Evan could design in a retractable machine gun if he wanted to.

With all that, Evan said that he was offered $35,000 for the Medusa. My response was “it’s worth more than that,” like a cool $5 million, but $2 million may be just right.

Sony should take note of Bellflower and Evan’s cool Medusa car, and use it for the next Green Hornet movie.

Stay tuned.
