President Obama Meets Gov. Christy In New Jersey After Hurrricane Sandy

President Barack Obama landed in New Jersey to survey the extensive damage caused to the entire state by Hurricane Sandy. It’s estimated that 60 percent of New Jersey is without power.

As this is written, the National Guard is in Hoboken, New Jersey, where there are 20,000 people trapped in their homes. There’s still a flood of standing water, and the water that’s there is contaminated with oil and sewage.

Overall, there are an estimated 5 million people without power. But that written, there are many places, mostly in New York State, and parts of Manhattan, that do have power.
