We talked about the Oakland Raiders news from training camp, NFL News, and Carl’s specialty which is cross country, track, and road racing.
Carl ran track at UC Berkeley as a walk-on as a transfer in 1984 – he did not start until 1985 for running. Carl worked with students in the University’s ROTC program. Then you relocated to Boulder, Colorado to train and write. He spent a decade as a competitive runner and sports writer with the Denver Post. Now, he coaches for the Strawberry Canyon Track Club, as well as a group of top high school track runners.
