Steve Ballmer’s LA Clippers purchase for $2 billion will add $94 million to the average franchise value of an NBA team.

That is based on a spreadsheet this video-blogger made just after the deal was announced this evening.

The spreadsheet compared NBA total franchise value before and after the LA Clippers deal. Before the deal, total value was just north of 17 billion.

Consider that the Clippers were valued at $575 million; Ballmer has offered about three times the value of the organization.
