Night Of 100 Stars Oscar Party February 26th

This is the other reason to get excited about the Academy Awards, other than that Billy Crystal is the host: the Night Of 100 Stars Oscar Party. This will be the fourth year this blogger has attended the amazing event, and here’s a few of my now classic videos from Norby Waters and Ed Lozzi’s great party:

Gary Busey, Ed Asner Talk Wisconsin Protests at Oscar Party

The Event’s Jason Ritter and Marianna Palka talk Good Dick The Movie

Sean Young on The Hurt Locker and Being A Woman In Hollywood

Richard Dreyfuss On Life,Politics, and Speilberg At “Night” Oscar Party

Those are some of the 26 videos I’ve made from the event to date. This year I’m aiming to add 20 more of them. As to who’s coming to Night Of 100 Stars 2012, here’s the press release:

Richard Dreyfuss At "Night"

Los Angeles – On Oscar ® Sunday February 26th, the Beverly Hills Hotel’s Crystal Ballroom will once again provide the venue for the arrival of approximately 150-200 film and TV stars who will attend the hottest celebrity Awards party in town with even bigger names than last year.

The media has always rated the Night of 100 Stars as one of the top Award parties. The Daily News rated this party as “…the number one Oscar party, just for the sheer number of celebrities attending…”. ABC’s Good Morning America covers this party from inside and said. ” Voting Academy members flock to the Night of 100 Stars and we are here tonight with many former Oscar and Golden Globe winners. Is this an Oscar party or the Golden Globes”? The Jimmy Kimmel Show tapes segments here for the show and said, ” …a wild party with mostly celebrities and they are everywhere you look..and they have the most beautiful girls”. The Hollywood Reporter says, ” Numerous former Academy Award winners and nominees turned out Sunday during the Night of 100 Stars Oscar Gala..including (150 stars) Richard Dreyfuss, Martin Landau, Fred Willard, James Cromwell, Ron Perlman, Renee Taylor, Jason Ritter, and so many more.”

Last year over 200 + media outlets from the U.S. and nearly 50 International news outlets covered the Night of 100 Stars.

This awards party is the first to ever stream a live show worldwide starting 7 years ago when announced by the Hollywood Reporter’s Paul Bond in a special Oscar party edition. This year the live streaming show is being produced by Beverly Hills Courier TV®, a new division of the the weekly and daily on-line award winning newspaper that has spanned 2 centuries of excellent journalism for the most famous city in America. Beverly Hills CourierTV® and their daily on-line news edition is associated with 140 other newspapers, has 5.9 million hits per month and a record 1.46 million page views per month. “The new Night of 100 Stars Awards party TV show will be seen live by millions thanks to our new relationship with Beverly Hills Courier TV® which will broadcast live over FOXNEWS.com”, said Norby Walters, dinner chairman. TV personality Tamara Henry will co-host. http://www.bhcourier.com/article/Local/Local/CourierFox_To_Broadcast_Night_Of_100_Stars_Again_Feb_26/84594

Last year ABC NEWS.com and People Magazine chose the Night of 100 Stars AWARDS Gala® as part of the prize for their national on-line contest for 2 winning couples for an AWARDS Weekend trip to Hollywood. ABC News will have its own separate coverage for the 3 hour ABC TV Network awards show.
