Ronda Rousey used her famous armbar technique to beat Miesha Tate late in the third round. Rousey is now eight wins versus no defeats. It’s her second win against Tate, who goes to 13 and 5.

As I said on Friday, Las Vegas bookmakers had 10 to 1 odds that Ronda Rousey would beat Miesha Tate.

While I was not able to see the fight myself due to family commitments, Twitter tweets give us a flavor for what happened:

For grins, Ronda Rousey is 27, hails from Riverside, Ca, and is 5’7, 135 lbs. Miesha Tate is also 27, but from Tacoma, Washington, and is 5’6 135 lbs.

According to Yahoo! Sports, Miesha Tate fought a tough battle, and became the first fighter to take Ronda Rousey into the second round of a match. Eventually, Rousey’s Judo moves were too much for Tate, and she surrendered to the armbar move.

Afterward, Miesha Tate offered her hand to congratulate Ronda Rousey, but the winner just gave a dirty look, an walked away.

Stay tuned.
