Conrad Murray Sentenced To Four Years For Death Of Michael Jackson

Dr. Conrad Murray
In sentencing Dr. Conrad Murray to four years in the LA County Jail, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor made himself a household name, right next to Larry Seidlin, the judge in the prescription drug case involving Anna Nicole Smith. Judge Pastor gave what can only be called a searing, roasting, flaming testimonial before announcing his eventual decision.

Judge Pastor based his sentencing on his observation that Dr. Conrad Murray expressed no remorse at all for any of his actions that may have caused Michael Jackson’s death. And the Judge said fact that Dr. Murray recorded his patient, Michael Jackson, when Jackson was drugged was Conrad’s insurance policy should he have any kind of dispute with The King Of Pop.

Now, there’s no way of knowing if that’s the case because Murray didn’t speak up to confirm or (hopefully for him) deny the allegation. Conrad Murray just sat there and took what the judge dished out – although, unlike the verdict reading, he was more animated, and looked like he was ready to burst at times.

Judge Pastor’s comments against Dr. Murray have basically ruined Murray’s professional life for now. The Judge even said that Murray was “a danger to the community” which is hyperbole, but reflects the outrage the Judge was obviously waiting to release after the case reached this point in time.

So, Conrad Murray’s off to continue serving time in LA County Jail, or really at home, because he’s a celebrity, and the man responsible for Michael Jackson’s death, which presents him as a sure death risk in a a jail population.

But is this over? No. By the appearance of it all, Murray’s lawyers are getting ready to file an appeal. But what really would have saved Murray is if he actually, once, acted like he was really sorry that Michael Jackson was gone.

Sad.

Meanwhile, here’s a video I made from the day Michael Jackson died:

Stay tuned.
