Hurricane Sandy is a bit*h, but the Baltimore Ravens are fighting back and doing their best to beat her at her own game.
Their bye week is over and they desperately need to get back to work this week to prepare for the second half of the season. They face a tough test against AFC North rival Cleveland Browns on Sunday and need to prep and practice.
Thankfully all but three players made it to practice on Monday. Head coach John Harbaugh did not specify which players were absent, but said all should be back for full practice on Wednesday.
The Ravens held meetings and indoor practice Monday morning and then all players were excused after lunch.
Linebacker Terrell Suggs’ flight from Raleigh, North Carolina was cancelled and he drove back to Baltimore to make it to practice Monday morning.
Defensive end Arthur Jones tweeted that he got stuck in Dallas, Texas.
The Ravens will get Tuesday off from practice (their usual day off) and they hope the entire team will back for a full practice on Wednesday. The coaches plan to stay late Monday night to game-plan for Sunday.
Also affected was the 13th Annual Goodwill Gridiron Halloween Party scheduled for Monday night. The party, hosted by tackle Michael Oher and tight ends Ed Dickson and Dennis Pitta, was cancelled.
