This Oakland-based blogger just felt an earthquake that turned out to be centered about 1 mile east of Berkeley and hit at 5:37 AM.

Last week (in fact one week ago) this same part of the San Francisco Bay Area experienced two earthquakes of about the same size and just six hours apart. That’s some level of activity here. In all the year’s here, it’s hard to remember the earthquake faults in this part of the East Bay being so very active.
