Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn are in pop culture news again, and not just for his play at Torrey Pines, or that Vonn won the World Cup giant slolum today, but for rumors that Woods and Vonn are dating.
What’s interesting to this blogger is that in 2010, Vonn basically mocked Tiger by saying, in reference to his nationally televised “confession,” that, “You go have that sex.” At the time, Vonn was bragging that she’s married and has an image to protect, so she’d never get in such a situation.
But now, Vonn’s not married, and older and wiser – she’s connected with Tiger and from the looks of the photos where she’s at a Tiger Woods Foundation function of last year, this, her dating Woods, may have been going on for some time. Vonn’s publicist issued this statement:
“Lindsey is currently in the midst of the World Cup season in Europe. Her focus is solely on competing and on defending her titles and thus she will not participate in any speculation surrounding her personal life at this time.”
And while Lindsey says “We are just friends,” as she told the Denver Post after winning her second World Cup downhill at Lake Louise, Alberta. “My brother was the ski instructor for his kids this November in Vail. Guessing that’s where (dating rumors) came from.”
But this blogger thinks Lindsey’s hiding something because, again, from photos, she was at the Tiger Woods Foundation benefit, and “friends” these days can mean friends with benefits, too.
If that’s the case, Elin Nordegren has a lot to be concerned about, if, indeed, Tiger’s trying to get back with her. She’s got to be thinking “I’ve seen this before.”
Well, stay tuned.
